This photographic project was created in connection with the MIT Technology Review article “On the Ground in Ukraine’s Largest Starlink Repair Shop” by Charlie Metcalfe (August 21, 2025). The work documents the people and spaces behind Ukraine’s grassroots Starlink repair network—an improvised yet vital infrastructure that sustains communication during the full-scale war. Focusing on technicians, damaged terminals, and everyday acts of maintenance, the project explores technology not as an abstract system, but as a human practice shaped by care, resilience, and collective responsibility under extreme conditions.

Цей фотографічний проєкт було створено у зв’язку зі статтею MIT Technology Review «On the Ground in Ukraine’s Largest Starlink Repair Shop» авторства Чарлі Меткалфа (21 серпня 2025 року). Проєкт документує людей і простори, що стоять за народною мережею ремонту Starlink в Україні — імпровізованою, але критично важливою інфраструктурою, яка підтримує зв’язок під час повномасштабної війни. Зосереджуючись на техніках, пошкоджених терміналах і повсякденних практиках обслуговування, ця робота розглядає технологію не як абстрактну систему, а як людську дію, сформовану турботою, стійкістю та колективною відповідальністю в умовах екстремальної реальності.
